Types of Courses
There is a great variety of diving courses on the Costa Tropical. Here, we list the most popular ones, explaining the difference between them so you can choose the most suitable option for you.1. Baptism
If you want to find out if you like diving and experience the sensation of breathing underwater,
this is the right option for you.
We strongly recommend that you start with a baptism before spending a lot of money on a course.
Each student is under the supervision of a qualified instructor, who will hold your tank and control the air consumption.
Baptism is not a course and does not certify you as a diver.
2. Scuba Diving Course
This is an introductory course that certifies you as a diver. It allows you to dive up to 12 meters
in depth anywhere in the world, but you can not dive alone.
You must be accompanied by a PADI instructor.
Includes: a student's kit, theoretical and practical classes in confined and open water settings, diving equipment and insurance.
3. Open Water Diving Course
It is also a basic course that enables you to dive to a depth of 12-30 meters.
Unlike the Scuba Diver course, with this qualification you can dive anywhere in the world without an instructor.
Includes: theoretical and practical classes in confined and open water settings, diving equipment and insurance.

Opinions about Diving in Granada
Beginner’s dive
We did a beginner’s dive with Buceo La Herradura and had a great experience. Exploring this part of the ocean was truly fascinating. The marine life is abundant and diverse. We saw schools of sardines, groupers, octopuses, and shrimp.
The dives went very well, though I hope for better visibility next time. The guides were very friendly and experienced, making us feel comfortable and safe throughout.
