From Islam to Christianity in a journey that will unfold the exciting transformation of Granada.
We walk around the historic center - see the Cathedral, Capilla Real, the market Alcaiceria,
Madraza and the Royal Chancery. As best representation of Muslim Granada, we will
visit the lower part of Albaicin and Carrera del Darro. The Gran Via will serve as a model for
modernist changes occurred during the nineteenth century.
In this tour, Granada was the scene of important events in the history of Spain,
with the key figure of the Catholic Monarchs and Charles V, the Alhambra and the
Generalife. We'll listen to the tragedy of the Moors, how develops the
Mudejar style of the Albaicin, about the typical carmenes of Granada,
the legends that come from the past, the surroundings of the river Darro, the Granada of the
nineteenth century and how it became a modern city.
