Christmas Shopping in Granada - Gifts, Decorations and Sweets
There are several Christmas shopping areas in Granada. If you prefer to walk and avoid large shopping
centers, you’ll find everything you need in the city center.
You can also enjoy the festive atmosphere in the streets, with Christmas lights, music, and seasonal attractions, and have a tapa at one of the city center’s bars.
Shops in the Center of Granada
The major clothing brands such as Zara, H&M, Mango, Stradivarius, Pull&Bear Bear and many others are located near
Puerta Real.
There are also many small, quite original shops.
You should visit the following streets: Recogidas, Reyes Católicos, Zacatín, Mesones, Alhóndiga, and Puentezuelas.
Toy Shops
If you're looking for toys, there are several very interesting shops around Mesones and Alhóndiga streets.
Eurekakids (Alhóndiga corner of Hileras Street) offers very good quality educational toys.
There used to be many toy stores in the Plaza Bibrambla, but these have gradually disappeared, giving way to other tourist establishments. Only the Toy Supermarket (12 Gracia Street) remains.
Also in this area, specifically on Alhóndiga Street and Párraga Street, you'll find two very old sweets and candies shops.
Shopping Centers and Department Stores
Furthermore, Cortefiel is located on the corner of Recogidas Street and Gran Vía, El Corte Inglés is in Puerta Real,
and Hipercor is on Arabial Street, where you will also find the small Neptuno Shopping Center.
If you are traveling by car and want to do your shopping in a shopping center, you can choose one of the closest to you.
In the southern area of Granada, on the Armilla Road, you can find several shops grouped in a small commercial park where you'll find: Toys R’ Us, Sánchez, Juguetilandia, and Sprinter. Carrefour is not far from there.
The Serrallo Plaza and Nevada shopping centers add to the offerings in that area. Both have very easy and direct access from the highway.
You can also reach El Serrallo by bus, as it is located within the city limits. The Alhsur Shopping Centre is located on the La Zubia road.
The largest commercial center in Granada is undoubtedly Kinépolis, in the northern area.
The advantage of shopping centers is that you can do all your shopping in one place, without getting cold,
and they usually offer children's leisure activities during these Christmas days.
Opening hours are extended throughout December and until Three Kings' Day. In January, they are extended.
Large chains and many of the shops in the city center will be open every Sunday and public holiday.
