Granada has good air and ground connections that provide easy access to the city.
Getting to Granada from Granada Airport
Visitors can reach Granada city centre from the airport in a special airport bus service.
This bus goes through the centre of Granada and terminates at the Exhibition and Conference Centre.
The fare is only 3.00 euros.

You can also get to Granada by taxi. A taxi from Granada Airport to the city centre can cost around 25 euros,
and if you want to take a taxi from Malaga, this will cost around 170 euros. Information on taxi companies

It is better to ask how much it will cost before getting into the taxi, because taxi drivers often charge
you a higher price, especially if you're from abroad. On these trips taxis do not use the meter, but
is a fixed price depending on the area you are going. There is an official price list which you can
ask the taxi driver for.
How to get to Granada by bus from another city
Granada is connected by bus with the other capitals of Andalusia, Madrid, most principal towns along the
Mediterranean coast, and with several international destinations. There are also daily buses to the
villages of the Granada province. More information at

The newspaper El Ideal publishes daily a very useful page with information on timetables and telephone
numbers of all bus companies. Please note that there is only one daily bus serving some of these
villages, for example, as in the case of Montefrio.
From Madrid (Estacion Sur - South Station) to Granada Bus Station is 5 hours by bus with Alsa company
and the ticket costs 16 euros. The travel time is less than by train and the fare is almost 4 times cheaper.

Getting to Granada Center from the Bus Station
From the Bus Station you can reach all parts of Granada by Granada city buses. Buses numbers 3, 10 and 33
connect the centre with the Bus Station, a journey that takes about 25 minutes. Information on the bus

How to get to Granada by Taxi
Taxi stands are located in front of train and bus stations. This should not cost more than 10 euros.

How to get to Granada by Train
The visitor can go to Granada by train from Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, or any other city in Spain.
Granada has no high-speed rail but has long distance lines, including: Madrid-Granada: it takes 4.5 hours,
there are two daily trips - morning and evening, and costs 62 euros. Barcelona - Granada: the trip takes almost
12 hours, twice daily - morning and evening, and costs 56 euros. Seville - Granada: the trip takes 3 hours, four
times a day, and costs 22 euros. Granada Train Station is in the heart of the city.

How to Get to Granada by Air
Granada Airport has good connections with other Spanish cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Valencia,
but there are few international flights to Granada.
The nearest airport with a fuller range of international flight destinations is Malaga. Buses from Malaga
to Granada are every one to two hours and take only between 1,5 and 2 hours. You can buy a ticket at
www.aena.es. The ticket costs around 9.00 euros. The last bus to Granada is at 22:00; if your flight arrives
after this time, you will have to spend the night in Malaga or take a taxi to Granada, which can cost
anything up to 180 euros.
Getting to Granada by Car
Airport-Granada:
From Granada airport you can go directly to the A-92.

It takes 10-15 minutes to reach Granada by car, if you are going to the north of the city, and 5 minutes
more if going south on the motorway A44 / E902.
Madrid-Granada:
It's easy to get to Granada from Madrid by road.
It's easy to get to Granada from Madrid by road. Take A4/E5 and then change to the A44/E902. It takes 4-5
hours by car. The Costa del Sol and Granada are connected by the motorway A44/E902; it takes 40 minutes
from Salobrena.
Almeria-Granada:
Following the coast to Motril, connect with the N-323, or the A-92 to Guadix where you connect with the 324.
Cordoba-Granada:
Following the N-432 by Espejo, Baena, Alcaudete and Alcala la Real.
